We fix the foam with plastic dowels
When the adhesive mixture dries (it can be 1-3 days, depending on the weather), it is necessary to fix the foam sheets with thermal dowels, which are umbrellas or parachutes, which must be with a plastic stud that prevents cold bridges from appearing at the attachment points. When using polyurethane adhesive, it is possible to fasten the foam plastic after 2 hours.

The next step in fixing the foam is to drill holes in the middle and at the corners of the sheet. In this case, use a perforator with a drill with a diameter of 10 mm. Drill holes, the depth of which depends on the surface and should be: concrete – 40-70 mm, brick – 80-100 mm, shell rock – 100-120 mm. Clean the drilled hole from dust, insert into the thermal dowel and drive a nail into it. In this case, the dowel should not protrude beyond the plane of the attached foam. Mounting usually requires 5 pieces per sheet. In order to save money, dowels can be drilled in places where two or more sheets are connected, while holding several sheets with the edges of the “umbrella”.
